To Everything There Is A Season

I've been away for several weeks but have returned to the comfort of the paper crafting world. It has carried me through many rough times and continues to offer me comfort now as I'm beginning to sort and organize my supplies.

Sadly my hiatus was not an good one. My mom became very ill at the beginning of May and we lost her on May 29th. Although I miss her terribly, I know that she is now able to run and laugh and play to her hearts content. I envision her in a beautiful meadow with by baby brother and baby grand daughter...the three of them playing together joyfully, Mom in her glory with the little ones. I also see them stopping to watch me, making sure that I'm ok and moving along to another season in my life.

I believe that everything happens for a reason and although we don't always know right away why, it always serves a good purpose. I asked the minister to read the following at Mom's memorial service:

Ecclesiastes 3 >>
King James Bible

To Everything There is a Season
1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Life is a full circle and everything has a time and a purpose. For my mom, her time has come to no longer be disabled. She has been freed be the wonderful fun loving soul that her body did not allow her to be while here with us. Although I wish she was here, I am  joyful that she has the peace and well being that she deserves.

I found this wonderful compilation of "The Byrds" song and wanted to share it.

Although, it is not my time right now to pick up my tools and craft, it is my time to take stock and reorganize. I have many wonderful ideas floating around in my head that will take shape in the near future. For now, those ideas will flow along with some tears while I busy myself reorganizing my crafting space.
